Kingston has announced the availability of the DC1500M SSD with NVMe PCIe 3.0 × 4, which is designed for data centers and mixed workloads.
Building on the success of previous Kingston U.2 NVMe SSDs, the new DC1500M boasts advanced enterprise features that ensure stable operation in environments where high data availability is required. These include end-to-end data path protection, multi-space management, power loss protection (PLP), and telemetry monitoring to increase data center reliability.
According to the manufacturer, the SSD was designed with an emphasis on long-term operation and uses a fast NVMe PCIe 3.0 × 4 interface. Further Kingston adds consistent read (<110 µs) and write latency (<206 µs) and states that the U.2 format allows the drive to be immediately deployed to existing servers and storage arrays with PCIe 3.0 / 4.0 and U.2 connectors. The U.2 format also supports hot-plugging.
The drive comes with Kingston pre-sales and after-sales support and a five-year limited warranty. The SSD is available in capacities of 960 GB, 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB and 7.68 TB.
