The 17-year-old victim died in hospital after being found badly stabbed in the city park in Huskvarna one August evening last year.

The young perpetrator has admitted the crime itself but objected that he acted in self-defense.

In a so-called evidentiary action, Jönköping District Court finds that the boy was guilty of aggravated assault and causing another person’s death.

Even if the now 15-year-old boy escapes punishment, he and his parents will pay more than SEK 300,000 in damages to the victim’s relatives. The boy has already been taken into care and placed in an institution according to the law on care of young people, writes TT.
