In-yang Jung, adopted by the Jang couple in January last year, died on October 13 of the same year while undergoing treatment in the emergency room of a hospital in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.

On the day of his death, Jung In-yang suffered severe abdominal injuries such as a pancreas cut and intraperitoneal bleeding. There were also signs of fractures all over the body, including the collarbone and ribs.

Jang claims, “He was holding and dropped Jungin and fell into a chair and died,” but the prosecution’s judgment is different.

Previously, the prosecution received and reviewed data from three forensic experts and the Korean Pediatrics and Adolescents Medical Association for re-appraisal and medical review related to the cause of Jung In-yang’s death.

In an opinion letter submitted to the prosecutor’s office, the medical association judged that Jang had the intention of murder, saying, “In this case, it is difficult to know the specific circumstances of the crime, but it is clear that the perpetrator inflicted a large impact on the victim, equivalent to a traffic accident.” did.

The prosecution judges that’abdominal damage such as pancreatic rupture and excessive bleeding due to a wide and strong external force applied to the abdomen such as stepping on the foot’ is the cause of death.

The prosecution said, “There was a perception that the victim might eventually die, and there was a willingness to tolerate it,” and said, “We decided that the (unwritten) intention for the murder was recognized.”

He explained that the circumstances before and after the crime were comprehensively considered, such as the form and extent of the external force that led to the death, as well as the results of Jang’s integrated psychological analysis, the overall course of the abuse, and the likelihood of death as a result.

To apply the crime of murder, you must prove that the perpetrator had a clear intention of killing the victim and that it was inflicted with death. Therefore, it seems that it will be the key to prove the cause of death in order to be recognized as a murder crime.

It was revealed that the’wide and strong external force’ was applied to the abdomen through the re-evaluation result, but it is still only possible to estimate the specific reason for this impact.

Jang’s side is expected to emphasize that there was no intention of killing, while maintaining the existing position that he died by dropping Jung In-yang.

In fact, Jang argues that “they have dropped the victims, but have never exercised strong force to damage organs.”

Jang’s lawyer met with reporters right after the trial and said, “I deny the accusation that Mr. Jang stepped on the victim with his feet.” “Mr. Jang dropped the child and the child bumped into the chair. He said, “We cannot admit charges of child abuse and death or murder.”

He added, “The adoptive parents said countless times of their sorry feelings for the child and submitted a reflection statement to the court.”

According to the attorney, his adoptive wife, Ahn, allegedly had no knowledge of the abuse of his wife, Jang.

Meanwhile, more than 400,000 citizens participated in the petition calling for the application of murder crimes and severe punishment to Jung In-yang’s parents.

On the petition bulletin board, two petitions requesting the application of murder and severe punishment by adoptive parents were posted, and both exceeded the 200,000 response standard.

First, the petition titled’Please make a strong precedent for child abuse by disclosing the identity of the perpetrators of the 16-month-old adoptee abuse murder case and applying the murder charges’ was closed after a total of 23,1440 people agreed.
