Joynal Hazari is forever lying in the respect and love of millions of people

Joynal Abedin Hazari, a former Member of Parliament from Feni, a member of the Advisory Council of Bangladesh Awami League and a heroic freedom fighter, has fallen asleep at his home premises Mujib Udyan in Masterpara of Feni town due to the respect and love of millions of people.

His janaza was held at Feni Government Pilot High School ground on Tuesday (December 26) at 5 pm. Millions of devotees including Awami League leaders and activists took part in it.

Awami League Organizing Secretary Jatiya Sangsad Whip Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan spoke before the janaza. He said, those of us who do politics in this generation, the name of our feelings is Joynal Hazari. Today, he has proved to be the leader of the people.

Also speaking were Feni-2 MP Nizam Uddin Hazari, former MP Bir Muktijoddha Joynal Abedin, former Chittagong City Corporation Administrator Khorshed Alam Sujan, Feni Deputy Commissioner Abu Selim Mahmud ul Hasan, Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Mamun, District Council Chairman Khairul Basar. Majumder Tapan, Mayor of Parshuram Municipality Nizam Uddin Chowdhury Sajeel, Mayor of Feni Municipality Nazrul Islam Swapan, Upazila Chairman Shushen Shil, younger brother of the late Sahab Uddin Hazari, cousin former Municipal Mayor Mosharraf Hossain Hazari Mia and nephew Safayet Hossain Litu Hazari.

The vehicle carrying Joynal Hazari’s body reached Masterpara Hazari’s house in Feni municipal town around 2.30 pm on Tuesday. Ten minutes later, the body was taken to his residence Mujib Udyan.

Earlier, his first janaza was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 10 am. After paying their respects, Dhaka residents bid farewell to Joynal Abedin Hazari. The car carrying his body left for Feni. There was also a fleet.

Joynal Hazari died at Labaid Hospital in the capital around 5:30 pm on Monday. Awami League and various organizations including Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed their condolences over his death.

Joynal Hazari was the general secretary of Feni district Awami League from 1984 to 2004. He was elected Member of Parliament from Feni-2 (Sadar) constituency three times in a row in 1981, 1991 and 1996. Most recently, he was nominated a member of the Awami League’s Advisory Council.
