Joventut spreads the ‘Move for pleasure’ campaign on the occasion of World AIDS Day

This Thursday, December 1st, commemorates world aids day. For more than five years, the Regional Youth Service of Baix Llobregat has taken advantage of the event to promote the use of condoms and prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among young people, through the campaign ‘Move for pleasure‘. The Youth Department of Martorell City Council actively collaborates in its dissemination.

The ‘Move for pleasure’ campaign is updated this year in order to enrich it with more complete, open and dynamic content. For this reason, in addition to focusing on the prevention of STIs, the emphasis is also placed on the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication in sexual relations and on knowing one’s own limits and those of others.

All in all, the general objective of the campaign is to provide tools and resources to the technical staff of the region to accompany adolescents and young people in the development of healthy and pleasurable sexualities, conceiving them from a perspective multidimensional

The campaign has incorporated the distribution of internal condoms (in addition to external ones) and the programming of a training capsule aimed at youth professionals in the region, commissioned by the Mandràgores Cooperative.

At Espai Jove Punt Nord, condoms and Pleasure Kits can be obtained for free in order to promote safe relationships. In addition, the facilitator of the Information and Invigoration Points in the Secondary Education Centers (PIDCES) informs the young people of this possibility during playground time in the high schools.
