They are united by a new collection by a Czech artist Josefiny Bakosov called Simple. In addition to them, however, many also reflect the new lifestyle that we had to adopt as a result of the pandemic. It is slower and full of expectations for the future. And in the case of a designer, even more creative.
Celebration of femininity in the Simple collection
The very themes of the collection speak to us women. The silhouettes and curves underline the chosen cuts, the color resembles flowers such as roses or lavender. Everything is feminine and tender. If you follow the designer’s work over time, you may notice that Simple distances from previous deeds. It was life during the pandemic that influenced her work. “Something has happened. It’s as if the slowdown is desirable, albeit artificially induced. The Simple collection is about slowing down,” explains Josefina Bakošová. Come slow down too and tune in to the gentle wave of the new collection.

From previous collections, we were used to Josefina’s oversize clothing and loose cuts. The designer did not completely give up on them, but gave her favorite shapes a more feminine look.
Dress they are now strapped to make the sides and curves stand out. In addition to them, the collection is also dominated by long overalls, also in a practical, but body-emphasizing design. Although the current period would suggest otherwise, Simple contains only two wool coats, an otherwise typical element for Josefina ‘s work. One large, in dark blue, and the other narrow and elegant in red. The reason is also the designer’s effort to break down the boundaries of seasonality.
In a minimalist spirit
The word is inflected across (not only) the fashion world. Minimalism is on course and we see it here as well. The colors are monochrome and there are only a few pieces in the collection. This is also the way to be responsible and sustainable creation. Fashion is not about quantity, but quality, timelessness and comfort. And Simple offers a lot of that.
