Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD had submitted a list of candidates for the National Police Chief to President Joko Widodo or Jokowi. He also revealed the names of the five candidates in question.
As Chairman of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas), Mahfud handed over the candidate for the name of the Chief of Police for Jokowi to choose later.
“These are the five names of Komjen Pol. That were submitted to the President by Kompolnas to be selected as a candidate for National Police Chief,” Mahfud said via his Twitter account @mohmahfudmd on Friday (8/1/2021).
The five National Police candidates proposed by Mahfud are Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Pol Gatot Eddy Pramono, Kabareskrim, Komjen Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Head of the National Police Commissioner General for Education and Training General Arief Sulistyanto.
