Janša: The possibility of a vote of no confidence is not great

In an interview with Radio Ognjišče today, Prime Minister Janez Janša said that the possibility of a constructive vote of no confidence in the current government exists, but it is not great. According to him, this would not mean that the KUL would form a new government from the parties that once caused the government to disintegrate, but that it would lead to early elections.

Janša considers that depending on how “break your arms” DeSUS deputies, to them “threatens and blackmails”, that such an approach will continue with SMC MPs as well. The votes for the fall of the government would thus come with “unlawful and criminal pressure”, he said.

According to Janša, early elections are a logical interest of at least two parties in the Coalition of the Constitutional Arc (KUL). The Prime Minister pointed out the Left party, with which SD, according to him, is competing in this, “who will be more destructive and radical”, making the president of the SD Tanja Fajon in his estimation, he is sinking his client.

The Left Party will therefore vote for the fall of the government, “after that, some vote will be lacking for a new one to be set up,” said Janša.

That would mean an election campaign in the middle of the peak of the epidemic, he said, adding that they had already done the same. Marjan Šarec he threw a rifle into the corn at the start of the epidemic and demanded an election. “Imagine what Slovenia would look like in the spring if we went to the election campaign with empty warehouses,” he said.

He felt that constructive mistrust might succeed, but it would “from the same ingredients”, because of which it once disintegrated and formed a government that would be effective, and according to Janša, even the greatest optimists on the left side of the political space do not believe it.

Asked whether he trusts his coalition partners, the prime minister said he trusts those in government while those in the National Assembly “as to which”.
