The situation in Slovenia is not improving. There are again more patients with covid-19 in hospitals, and a record number of people will soon need treatment. The government has therefore extended the epidemic, schools and non-essential goods stores remain closed, and gathering of people is still limited. According to the Prime Minister Janez Janša however, even stricter measures could await us.

In an interview with Radio Ognjišče, the Prime Minister said that the government did not rule out the complete closure of the country. “If this number of infected people continues to be maintained at this high level, Slovenia will be forced, despite the fact that we all hate these measures, into a de facto total lockdown, when part of the economy will also be closed,” he said. At the same time, it does not exclude the closure of all activities except shops and pharmacies and the restriction of movement to a maximum of 50 meters from home.
