Jane Fonda accuses René Clément: “I needed to see what my orgasms were like” – Social

American actress Jane Fonda shared that the late French director René Clément said he “needed to see what orgasms looked like” in the actress before they filmed a sex scene during the production of J.oy Houseem 1964.

The accusations were in the program Watch What Happens Live, earlier this week, after presenter Andy Cohen asked the actress to name a Hollywood man who tried to date her but Jane Fonda turned him down. He then began by answering: “He wanted to go to bed with me because he said that the character had to have an orgasm and that he needed to be like my orgasms. He said it in French and I pretended not to understand”. Later she also stated that she had “many stories” but that the time was not enough.

Jane Fonda, who is now 85, was 27 when the Joy House premiered and René Clément, aged 51, was one of the most influential directors. The director died in 1996, aged 82.

These accusations come at a time when the French film industry is under great scrutiny as several actresses who are at the Cannes Film Festival have mentioned that the country has not been able to keep up with the #MeToo movement felt abroad and that the French industry continues to perpetuate misogynistic behavior.
