Jamkrindo Again Distributes Basic Food Aid, Infrastructure and Trauma Healing Services in Cianjur


Suara.com – PT Jamkrindo again distributed emergency response assistance in the form of food packages, daily needs, facilities in the form of several tents, and trauma healing services for earthquake victims in Cianjur, West Java.

The Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program assistance was distributed as a form of corporate concern to ease the burden on disaster victims and was distributed directly by PT Jamkrindo’s Directors and employees using motorized vehicles to make it easier to move the distribution of aid in areas that are difficult to reach by vehicles four wheels.

The main director of PT Jamkrindo Hendro Padmono said that the handover of the assistance was in line with the expectations of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir who wanted the large BUMN family to continue to work together and work hand in hand in providing assistance to the earthquake victims in Cianjur.

The assistance that was distributed on Saturday (03/12/2022), was the fourth stage of assistance that had been provided by the company. In the previous phase of assistance, Jamkrindo together with UPZ Jamkrindo and all Jamkrindo employees provided assistance in the form of groceries, medicines and baby equipment which were distributed through Perhutani’s main posts and also aid posts located in disaster-affected areas.

“Jamkrindo will continue to work together with various parties to accelerate disaster recovery. We continue to provide various assistance to help the community to recover more quickly. We hope that the assistance we provide can ease the burden on the victims,” ​​said Hendro.

In terms of trauma healing services, Jamkrindo collaborates with Indonesian Inspiration PAUD (PII) to provide assistance to disaster victims. Trauma healing can be the right step for disaster victims to be able to heal themselves from tragedy after a disaster.

“Trauma healing was given to people affected by the earthquake, both children and adults. So that it can provide motivation or psychological reinforcement,” said Hendro.

In a separate place, namely at the Al-Kautsar Islamic Boarding School, Jamkrindo also handed over renovation assistance for the Al-Kautsar Islamic Boarding School. The renovation assistance was initiated by the Jamkrindo Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ).

As a continuation of concern for the community, UPZ Jamkrindo also handed over standby cars for the community. The delivery of the standby car is a form of Jamkrindo and UPZ Jamkrindo’s commitment to support the provision of facilities and infrastructure for citizen mobilization.

Based on a report from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake was centered on land 10 km southwest of Cianjur Regency, West Java with a magnitude of 5.6 which resulted in many buildings being damaged and victims killed.

The Cianjur Regency Government declared a disaster emergency status to facilitate disaster management and evacuate victims who died as a result of being crushed by collapsed buildings.

PT Jamkrindo as a credit guarantee company, continuously provides disaster response assistance to victims of natural disasters in Indonesia, including the flood disaster in Lebak, Banten; flood disaster in Garut and Sumedang, West Java; flood disaster in Jabodetabek; flash floods in Sukabumi, West Java; earthquake and tsunami in Palu, Central Sulawesi; and earthquakes in Mamuju and Majene, West Sulawesi.

Apart from handing over community development assistance to victims of natural disasters, PT Jamkrindo also actively contributed to helping the community during the Covid-19 pandemic, including assistance with medical equipment, basic necessities, educational scholarships, community economic empowerment assistance, and other assistance related to impact of covid-19.
