It’s Honda’s Big Three Sales in 2020

DAPURPACU – PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) closed 2020 with a sales figure of 79,451 units. The positive increasing trend was able to be achieved for seven consecutive months.

Meanwhile in December it was able to reach 9,887 units, or an increase of 32.6 percent compared to the previous month. However, this year’s total revenue fell significantly compared to 2019 which won 149,439 sales units.

Yusak Billy, HPM’s Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director, admitted that last year’s sales were in line with declining market conditions as a result of the pandemic and economic conditions in Indonesia.

“Even so, the positive sales growth trend in the last seven months is a good capital to enter 2021,” added Yusak, in his official broadcast.

The Honda Brio continued to show its flawless performance in this challenging year, achieving a total of 43,021 units or contributing 54 percent to Honda’s sales.

Of that number, Brio Satya contributed 31,713 units and Brio RS posted a figure of 11,308 units. Followed by the Honda HR-V 1.5L with 11,936 units, Mobilio with 6,889 units, the Jazz with 6,533 units and the CR-V with 5,759 units.

Meanwhile, other models also contributed positive sales, such as the Honda BR-V with 2,289 units, Civic Hatchback with 1,053 units, and HR-V 1.8L with 917 units.

Then the Honda Civic sedan has sold 444 units, Accord with 248 units, City 235 units, Odyssey with 120 units, and Honda Civic Type R with 7 units.

“This year, we will continue to focus on maintaining penetration in the midst of unstable market conditions, while continuing to strive to present sales programs that make it easier for consumers to make purchases,” said Yusak. [dp/MTH]
