It is not yet certain that the new Ryzens using 3D V-Cache will be tunable

AMD disabled this option for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and it is questionable whether this will change on the new models.

AMD’s first desktop processor using the 3D V-Cache design was famous not only for its large cache, but also because the company made it multiplier-locked, meaning that tuning was closed to users. The company later explained this by saying that the maximum of the 3D V-Cache is 1.35 V, and because of this the Zen 3 chip cannot exceed this limit either, meaning that the tuning options are limited, so they did not really want to deal with this factor.

At the same time, in connection with the newer Ryzens, which also use 3D V-Cache and are based on Zen 4 cores, unveiled at this year’s CES, several media reported that the situation will change. Specifically, they are based on the fact that AMD already indicates the Unlocked for Overclocking option in the specifications, which essentially means a system without multiplier lock. However, it is important to know that AMD reserves the right to modify the specifications provided until the product is actually available. Today, for example, the Unlocked for Overclocking option has disappeared from the page of the newer Ryzens with X3D, which does not necessarily mean limitations similar to Ryzen 7 5800X3D, but only indicates that the company has not yet decided on this issue.

So for now it is too early to be happy, unfortunately you have to wait for the actual availability, when it really becomes clear what the final specification will be.
