Is the end approaching for the Honda CB1100?

Honda has released a teaser image of the Final Edition of the CB1100 ES and RS models, so many are wondering if that means the end of the popular CB line.

The problem is primarily in the architecture of the mentioned motorcycle, which has big problems in front of increasingly strict emission regulations, which can be seen by the fact that since 2014, this model has undergone almost no improvements.

Honda Taiwan has released information about the said release. The CB1100 EX Final Edition will be available with alloy wheels and new color combinations, while the CB1100 RS Final Edition will also get only new colors.

As there are no details about the motorcycles themselves, we can speculate about the specifications. It is unlikely that the unit will bring performance improvements, which means just over 90 hp with 92 Nm of maximum torque.

The cessation of production of the CB1100 line sounds like a final decision, although it does not necessarily mean its end. We remember how Suzuki took a break from Hayabus, to adjust it to Euro5 (and later) emission standards.

More information on the CB1100 Fina Edition models should be available at this year’s EICMA trade show, in late November.
