Summer is coming, the sun will be shining, so it’s the best time to discuss overclocking, when even the best-cooled processors sweat. And also a little something about artificial intelligence.
The holidays are here, even though the sun is still hiding behind the clouds and it’s raining too much for summer. So if you don’t feel like going out, you can listen to the fifth episode of our podcast about hardware, silicon and the good old days of computing. You can traditionally find podcasts not only on our website, but also on popular services Spotify, Apple Podcasts a Google Podcasts. If you would like to see us on other services as well, do not hesitate to write it in the comments. We will arrange. And don’t forget to add our podcast full of wisdom to your favorites so you don’t miss new episodes.
And who is going to talk about computers, hardware, technology, life, the universe and everything?
Vasek Vlcek – long-time editor-in-chief of PCTuning, a man who wanted to stay in the background. And it didn’t work out.
Zdenek Obermaier – our expert on processors, graphics cards and actually any powerful piece of hardware. The bigger the hi-end, the better!
Michal Rybka – you can read his regular reflections every Friday, and if you want more, you can find it at Level.
Michal Simonek – former editor, big fan of hardware and timing, now works for the brand of his heart Asus
And what are we going to talk about? There is no better topic for summer, when it should traditionally be hot and steamy than alarm about overclocking. Who wouldn’t want to heat up processors or graphics to their limits, while cooking itself in its own juice. Who did we clock first, why did we do it, what did we enjoy about it. How much hardware we blew up with overclocking, how much nitrogen we spilled during extreme overclocking and what frequencies we conquered. Or, on the contrary, what and why we tried to underclock and how to tune the machines so that they eat less and are quieter. We will discuss all this. Towards the end, the technology got a little burnt out and we chatted for fifteen minutes with the recording turned off, so we added a good half an hour of wisdom about artificial intelligence and theories when Skynet’s modern little brother overpowers us. Perhaps never. So I wish you pleasant listening, ideally somewhere quiet on vacation…
