IPMA September was fourth warmest ever
Last September was the fourth hottest month on record worldwide, with temperatures in Greenland exceeding 8°C above the monthly average.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) released, this Friday, the Climatological Bulletin of September 2022, which indicates that last month, in Portugal, was hot and rainy.
The average value of the average temperature was higher than the normal value and the average value of the minimum air temperature was higher than the normal value, being the fifth highest value since 2000.
As for precipitation, September was the fourth wettest since 2000, with total precipitation, 66.5 mm, corresponding to about 158% of the normal value.
