According to Mayor Zoran Radojicic, the budget for co-financing measures for energy rehabilitation of households of Palilula citizens is 20 million dinars, while the owners of residential buildings will half of the cost of the total works to be covered from the city and republic budgets.

He also pointed out that after the selection of the contractor, a public call for interested citizens of Palilula to be published in November.

– In order for economic entities, ie companies that deal with the installation of windows, doors and other elements of thermal insulation, to be able to apply for this public invitation, they are obliged to fulfill several conditions in advance. It is necessary that business entities are registered in the APR register for at least six months from the day of submitting the application, that no bankruptcy or liquidation procedure has been initiated, as well as that they have certificates for materials and products – the mayor emphasized and Beoinfo reports.

The criterion for ranking business entities is the price of materials and installation for the job they are applying for, and, as it was said, one of the conditions is the validity period of the price.

– The funds provided by the City and the Republic are not paid to fellow citizens, but directly to the contractors who will pass this public invitation. The money will be in the company’s accounts only after the commission determines that the job has been realized, and the user of the non-refundable funds, in this case from Palilula, settles half of his debt. Out of 17 Belgrade municipalities, Palilula was chosen as a pilot project, because after the analysis, it was determined that it is the most endangered when it comes to the need for energy rehabilitation – Radojicic emphasizes.

Larger funds have been announced for next year in order to enable citizens and other Belgrade municipalities to carry out energy rehabilitation at their facilities in cooperation with the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

The deadline for applications of business entities to the public call is October 22.
