Investments in audio advertising continue to grow

In the first three months of this year, advertisers invested 41.7 million euros in audio advertising, 15.7 percent more than last year.

Digital audio advertising is again growing relatively the most at 90 percent, from 1.46 to 2.77 million euros.

The largest part of the audio turnover – 37 million euros – goes to broadcast radio spot advertising, which is no less than 5 million more compared to 2021. Advertisers made less use of non-spot advertising during this period, these investments amount to 1, 88 million euros.

Liedewij Hentenaar, director of Audify, sees continued investments in audio advertising. ‘We see many more growth opportunities for advertisers. The attribution of audio to organic search, for example, is a result that many advertisers are still too little aware of.’
