Interned soldier was transferred to the Transplantation Service
The soldier from the 138th Command Course who was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Curry Cabral Hospital will be transferred to the Transplantation Service.
According to a statement released this Monday by the Army, the soldier is in a “stabilized clinical situation”, showing a “progressive improvement in his state of health”.
It is recalled that he underwent a liver transplant, after feeling “unwell” during a race on 7 September. After being “promptly assisted by the proximity health support” and referred to the Commando Regiment Health Unit, “an alteration in the state of consciousness was detected, so resuscitation maneuvers were carried out” and INEM was called, having the instructing been admitted to ICU and kept under surveillance, sedated and ventilated.
In addition, on the same day, another trainee was transported to Hospital Amadora-Sintra, after suffering a cardiac arrest. He has already been discharged from the clinic.
