Intel unveiled its upcoming processor coverage at CES 2021

January 13, 2021

The presentation included the release of mobile processors, the release of processors for business use, and a light review of the performance of the Rocket Lake-S top processor, as well as confirmation for processors codenamed Alder Lake.

The CES 2021 virtual fair started properly when Intel held its own occasion. Several Intel Core vPro and Evo vPro processors for business use were unveiled at the event. As expected, products aimed at other target groups were also seen at the event. One release was Tiger Lake-H35 codenamed processors.

In addition to these, the semiconductor giant confirmed the release of more powerful mobile processors for the current quarter. In that collection, the number of processor cores rises to a maximum of eight. No more detailed details were given in the presentation.

The show also saw a quick comparison between the flagship of future Rocket Lake-S desktop processors and AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900X processor in gaming performance. Based on the video, Intel’s Core i9-11900K would barely take a win over its rival. As with mobile processors, more details about the processor models remained undisclosed. The release was promised, as in many other sources, for the current quarter.

In the presentation, Intel confirmed that the next generation of processors will be codenamed Alder Lake. Following previous rumors, the processor has a maximum of eight performance-focused cores and eight streamlined cores. At the same time, it is the first processor to take advantage of the improved 10 nm SuperFin manufacturing technology. The publication is promised for the second half of this year.
