Intel Rocket Lake iGPU finally benchmarked: can it go with AMD and Nvidia?

We have already written about a large number of test results of Intel’s Rocket Lake processors, but the performance of the integrated GPU was not yet known. That has now changed, it appears that there are finally suitable drivers to get the igpu working.

A user of the Chinese social media platform Bilibili has managed to get his hands on a Core i5 11500. He must have six cores and twelve threads. The tdp will probably be set at 65 watts again, although the pl2 value will probably be 134 watts, as with Comet Lake-S. The integrated video chip indeed turns out to be 32 execution units which equates to a total of 256 GPU cores.

Because there are now working drivers, the chip has been tested in 3DMark Time Spy, although the clock speed and other specifications are not yet visible. In any case, the Core i5 11500 has a CPU score of 7,342 points and a graphics score of 1,053 points. The Core i5 10400 (Comet Lake-S) can reach 6,020 and 693 points respectively.

The new Rocket Lake-S processor therefore has integrated GPU that is about 52% faster than the Core i5 of the previous generation. It should be emphasized that the Core i5 10400 is not the immediate predecessor. The Core i5 1500 however has an integrated GPU that has a clock speed of only 50 MHz higher.

It must therefore perform comparable to the Nvidia GT 1030 (with gddr5), which has such a 1,050 to 1,100 points achieves with a comparable processor. The Ryzen 7 4750G (Renoir) goes one step further with a score of 1,620 points. The fastest Renoir desktop chip is thus 54% faster than the new Core i5 11500 (Rocket Lake).

Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 ~1100
