Infographic: third Dutch people are annoyed by colleagues on social media

36 percent of working Dutch people are sometimes annoyed by colleagues on social media. This is apparent from a survey by VPNdiensten.nl among 1,186 Dutch people in paid employment, conducted by Panelwizard. These annoyances even lead to three in ten respondents preferring not to add a colleague to their online circles.

For one in ten respondents, the annoyance at colleagues’ behavior on social media is reason enough to call them to account. It remains to be seen whether this feedback will have the desired effect: only eight percent of the respondents have ever deleted a message in response to comments from colleagues.

At 44 percent, people in the Northern Netherlands are particularly disturbed by the behavior of their colleagues on social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. In the Randstad provinces this applies to 34 percent of the respondents.
