On Sunday (28/5), a Bell 412 helicopter belonging to the Indonesian Army crashed in the Boyongbong Village area, Patenggang Village, Rancabali District, Bandung Regency, West Java, Sunday (28/5/2023).
A press release from the Indonesian Army Information Service (Dispenad) reported that the helicopter was being used to support the pre-duty training of the 300/Braja Wijaya Infantry Battalion, the Siliwangi Military Command.
Unfortunately, the helicopter operated by the Army Aviation Center (Puspenerbad) caught fire at around 13.30 WIB.
The incident did not cause any casualties from the TNI AD soldiers who were carrying out the training or the surrounding community.
“The helicopter crew, totaling five people, are all safe and only suffered injuries from the collision,” said the Dispenad press release.
Currently the entire helicopter crew has been evacuated to Dustira Hospital, Cimahi, to receive medical treatment.
