He noted that Ukraine does not have aviation to cover its “counteroffensive”.
“They are going to conduct a so-called counter-offensive, but they don’t have planes, and they can’t cover their artillery and tanks on the battlefield. This means that if they go on the offensive, then Russia will destroy all this armored vehicles, ”the military expert added.
He also drew attention to the fact that the training of pilots to fly the F-16 “will take at least three months” provided that the pilot is experienced.
“And if inexperienced, then a whole year, or even more. Therefore, they will not provide aircraft immediately. Because it’s not just about the pilot and the plane, we also need an airfield with a complete infrastructure: a command tower, radar stations, service stations, etc. We need factories with spare parts, aviation kerosene refineries, and much, much more, so that F-16s, and any others, took off and landed on Ukrainian airfields. There are no such airfields in Ukraine, they are all destroyed, ”concluded the interlocutor of RT.
