Men’s shed Haapsalu men’s shed has settled in Uuemõisa. Although the members of the club are men, in the near future there will also be women training the men.

Chisel sharpening is to be taught to the woodworking men from the Epp Klimenko Vocational Education Center across the street, while this Sunday the men can learn watercolor painting under Liisi Tan.

The men found Klimenko in the wooden house of the vocational school. The manager of the men’s shed, Taivo Leesment, went to vocational school and thus he was already familiar with Klimenko.

“It’s nice. They are just at such an age that they no longer want to come to school. Although they could, we have lifelong learning. But the demands of getting an invitation are high, you can take it easy in the club,” said Klimenko.

When the chisels are sharpened, the plan is to continue working together. “Training offers that would make the mind happy and the eyes shine can still be made,” said Klimenko.

On Sunday, August 21, a watercolor painting workshop will take place in the men’s shed, again led by a woman – Liisi Tani.

Tani is a young Estonian artist who graduated from the Tartu Higher Art School. He is mainly focused on watercolor painting and belongs to the Association of Estonian Watercolorists.
