In honor of one of our most important pop music composers, To Vlad Divljangroup (un)normal & Zdenko Kolar they held an unforgettable concert on Friday in a crowded venue SKCNS Factory.

On that occasion, they performed songs from all periods of Vlada’s rich musical career, and part of the repertoire included the greatest hits of the anthology and timeless rock group. idols, in which he was once the frontman. The band’s (un)normal guest was Zdenko Kolar, who, as a bassist, was with Vlada in Idols from the very beginning, and as a friend from childhood. He played and collaborated with Vlad and in his groups.Non-governmental organization”, “Vlada Divljan & Old Stars Band”.

Zdenko’s story goes like this: I moved in (to the building where they both lived) sometime in ’63. year, from Zemun, where I was born and the first boyfriend I met while our things were still on the truck was Vlada. It was like in a story, two boys meet in front of a building: Hello. Hello, what’s your name? Government, and you? I’m Zdenko. My uncle gave us money and sent us to buy chewing gum so we wouldn’t bother them. And we go and buy those cubed gums, as big as caramels, the ones that completely fill your mouth, the real socialist gums from that period. That’s how it all started.

Their first groups were called Pharaohs i Holipiand after them the famous Street sounds (originally Merlin), which was the first Belgrade group of the new wave (created in 1976 after Vlada finished his geodetic studies). Before the creation of Idol (officially on March 1, 1980), and after the breakup of Zvuk ulice, there were Boys, as a kind of conceptual group. They achieved their first major success in the fall of 1980 at the Youth Festival in Subotica, where they won their first prize. They held their first concert in Belgrade’s SKC on June 25, 1981. They are the same age with groups Charlot the acrobat i Electric orgasm participated in the recording of the album “Package deal”, which went down in history as one of the most influential yu-rock releases. “I rarely see you with girls” (recorded with “Pomoć, povoć”) was Idol’s first hit. In 1981, it was released for Jugoton mini EP VIS Idols… Such were the Government’s beginnings…

The first song that found its way into the concert repertoire at the Factory was “All the lies in the world”. After that, the band “dived” a little further into the past and played a song “Russia”and then the audience had the opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful love rhythms of the songs “the most beautiful”I’m taking you to the sea” i „Neko“. It was a song that caused special emotions “Behind the Smile”. They sang in one voice: Tonight I’m looking for one tear, to hide me, to tell me it’s okay, to caress me…

The time has come for another of the most requested Government hits, “I have only one love”. (un)normal after her, decided to play one of their songs “Life is stolen from the morning”, to which the audience also had exceptional reactions. The group has been around for a long time, and has two albums behind it.(ne)komplatibilnosti’ i „Refren za poneti’. The line-up performed at the Factory was: Nenad Jelenkovic, Anja Aleksic , Milan Jančurić Deran, Miloš Jovanović Brule, Branislav Pavlovic i Attila Benke.

A series of songs from Vlad’s career, both from the Idol period and those created later, continued with the hits “Everything I want to know”, “I rarely see you with girls”, “Until it rains”, “She knows it”, “Joyful Day”, “And when I see you”

During their performance, Zdenko joined the team on stage and perfectly “coordinated” with it, playing several songs on the bass. The audience was more than delighted to see him, and to have the opportunity to revive the memory of his and Vlada’s joint concerts in a special way, especially by singing the well-known Idol hit “Small“. Then it was the turn of another song by the group (un)normalni, which is “It smells”. They then took a deep breath, and were ready to give the audience one of the most beautiful songs of the Government, “Heavenly theme”, after which the film about him is named. A special atmosphere was created in the Factory at that time, people sang quietly, and the thoughts of those present went somewhere far away, towards the unreachable constellations

Next Idol hits ““Maljčiki”, “Cenozoic” i “Dwarves” they managed to crack up the audience and bring smiles back to their faces. Because Vlada was like that, the most beautiful, sincerely smiling. The song was the last in the repertoire “take me away”which touched every heart, and awakened every spring and memories… I was waiting for a warm night, I was waiting for spring, to take me away… In the final part of the concert, in the encore, three more songs were played “Chocolate”, „Certainly“ i „Come on, dream of me, dream”which symbolically marked the very end of a wonderful evening.

This May, Vlada would have turned 65 years old. Let’s remember his words, which will last in all our memories.

I will contact them
in a dream or awake
I will show them
how the constellations circle

We’ve been talking for too long
but it didn’t even matter
in all our memory
each has one air
