Over the past day, on January 14, 3065 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in Latvia, 14 patients with coronavirus died, according to the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).
In total, over the past 24 hours, on January 14, 21,269 tests for Covid-19 were carried out in Latvia, the share of positive results was 14.4%. Of all the cases, 1370 people were not vaccinated or did not complete the vaccination course. And 1695 infected people were vaccinated.
Among the 14 who died, five patients were aged 60 to 69 years, one was 70 to 79 years old, seven were 80 to 89 years old, and one was 90 to 99 years old.
Among the deceased, 10 patients were not vaccinated or did not complete the vaccination process, and 4 were vaccinated.
The 14-day cumulative rate per 100 thousand inhabitants increased from 1157 to 1310.6.
During the entire pandemic in Latvia, Covid-19 was confirmed in 301,654 people out of a population of 1.89 million people.
There are 581 patients with Covid-19 in hospitals – 85 were hospitalized over the past day, 78 people were discharged, according to data from the National Health Service. Currently, 498 patients with a moderate course of the disease are in hospitals, the condition of 83 people is severe.
In total, 24,251 people have been treated in hospitals with coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.
