Next year, vending machines for accepting glass and plastic containers will be installed at several stores in Daugavpils.

At the moment, it is planned to install the fragrances at three Maxima stores: at 3 Architectu Street, 60 Cietokšnia Street and 103 Stradnieku Street, as well as at Rimi stores at 92b Smilšu Street and 70 Cietokšnia Street and in the territory of LIDL stores.

Perhaps in some cases they will be located inside stores, and in some – next to them.

Now there is a pre-project correspondence with a private entrepreneur who will provide this service on the territory of Daugavpils. According to the Department of Urban Planning and Construction, at the moment the appearance of the taromat is being coordinated – after all, it is necessary that they organically fit into the environment, and the best solutions for the placement of equipment are also being looked for.

From February 1, 2022, a beverage packaging deposit system will start operating in Latvia. In Daugavpils by this time will be installed several automatic machines for receiving containers or aromatics. The places of their installation and visual design are coordinated with the responsible city services.

According to these rules, it will be possible to deposit in the deposit system glass (bottles with a volume of 0.1-3 liters and bottles from fermented products with an alcohol content of up to 6% with a volume of 0.1 -, 75 liters; plastic (PET bottles with a volume of 0.1-3 liters, bottles of beer and other fermented products with an alcohol content of up to 6% in a volume of 0.1 to 0.5 liters) and metal (tin) packaging for drinks: from 0.2 to 1 liter.
