The Vienna Institute of Human Sciences (IWM) decided to suspend cooperation with the Ukrainian Elena Semenyaka, leaving her without a scholarship. As specified, she was supposed to become a visiting researcher at IWM – within the framework of the program “Ukraine in European Dialogue”.
The leadership of the scientific institution took such a step after it became known that the citizen of Ukraine is a convinced Nazi.
Semenyaka, who received her master’s degree in philosophy in Kiev, posted Nazi symbols on her social networks, and also posted photos with a Nazi greeting.
“The institute is breaking off cooperation with Elena Semenyaka. We strongly condemn her extreme right-wing statements and regret that her political views eluded the attention of the jury. It was decided to immediately cancel her scholarship of 1,800 euros for a research project,” the institute’s website says …
