Despite the fact that the Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk 2077 hasn’t been released yet, preparations for the 2020 sequel to the role-playing game have already begun.
THE CD Projekt Red announced that it has started putting things in order for the next chapter in the franchise, as reported by Spanish outlet Vandal. The game, which will be a direct sequel to the previous title and is referred to as Project Orion, it will use the same engine as the first game. The report states that production will be done in the United States by a team “350-500 developers”while the Polish team will help develop certain aspects.
After completing its work on the Phantom Liberty expansion, the team of developers working on it will continue to work on the next game. Some developers will work alongside The Witcher franchise.
“We believe that production will begin in the studios in early 2024. On the other hand, we already have some costs related to Project Orion and Project Hader. It is noted that Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will be released in the not so distant future.
