Improving Financial Conditions, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Promises Not To Withdraw Debt Again Next Year

Suara.com – Improving economic conditions after the surge in Covid-19 cases has made Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati not plan to issue state debt securities next year.

This was conveyed by Sri Mulyani during the press conference of our State Budget on Thursday (25/11/2021).

Sri Mulyani said that currently the state’s financial condition is getting better because state revenues through taxes continue to increase.

“This means that we will keep from issuing debt securities if they are not needed. And we will try to consolidate them in a disciplined manner,” said Sri Mulyani.

He also explained that until October 2021, the realization of budget financing had reached Rp 608.3 trillion.

This amount covers 60.4 percent of the projection in the 2021 state budget (APBN) of IDR 1,006,4 trillion.

This figure, according to Sri Mulyani, fell quite dramatically by 34.3 percent compared to the same period last year, which at that time reached Rp 926.3 trillion.

So with these conditions, the government will try to review again to issue debt securities. He believes that the improving state budget will be able to meet various financing needs.

Meanwhile, the primary balance in October 2021 was recorded at negative IDR 266.9 trillion, improved compared to October 2021 which was negative IDR 513.2 trillion, but increased from September 2021 which was negative IDR 452 trillion.
