During the practical test, only one course participant, one instructor and one examiner can be in the car.
The Minister of Transport and Construction Andrej Doležal (nominee of We are a Family) issued a guideline containing the conditions under which practical training in driving schools can be carried out. Full-time and practical teaching in driving schools was suspended from 19 December 2020. Since then, participants could only be taught remotely.
Where can he teach?
“Practical training can take place in all stages of the COVID machine, except for the worst – black. For example, in III. warning level (dark red district), an instructor and a student may be in the car only if they both have a valid negative PCR or antigen test not older than seven days and the vehicle must be disinfected after each student. “ said the spokesman of the Ministry of Transport Ivan Rudolf.
The same rules apply to practical training in II. and I. warning level. However, starting with burgundy districts, theoretical teaching in classrooms is also possible.
In districts III., II., And I. warning level, all present participants of the lessons must have a negative result of the test for COVID-19 not older than seven days.
In burgundy districts, the number of course participants in the classroom may be up to 30% of the classroom capacity, in red districts up to 40% of the capacity and in pink districts up to a maximum of 50% of the classroom capacity. Participants must also observe all hygiene measures and there must be a distance of at least two meters between them.
As for the theoretical test, in the burgundy, red and pink districts, there can be a maximum of six participants in the classroom during the test, again with a negative test result. During the practical test, only one course participant, one instructor and one examiner can be in the car.
“I guess we all agree that one will not learn to drive without practical training. That is why we, together with our departmental hygienist, have prepared the conditions for teaching in driving schools so that the courses can continue and at the same time we have protected the participants in the teaching, “ Doležal commented that he wanted to emphasize that all measures are consulted and approved by the Public Health Office, and clients of driving schools and instructors are asked that everyone strictly adhere to them, so that all practical training does not have to stop again.
At the same time, if a participant in a driving course fails to pass the examinations within the statutory period of 12 months from enrolling in a driving course for measures against the spread of coronavirus, his course will be extended by the period from the beginning of the restrictive measures until their end.
