If it’s the weekend, then be warned: showers, thunderstorms, and hail can wash away your rest

The National Meteorological Service issued an alert for seven counties.

A met.hu according to the forecast, we can expect cloudy and sunny weather over the weekend. From the cumulus clouds that form in the morning, mainly in the south and southwest, showers and thunderstorms may develop in places, and from the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms may also drift over the eastern and southeastern borders. Precipitation will stop everywhere by late evening. The north and northeast winds are strong in several places, especially in Western Transdanubia and in the northeastern regions, they can also be accompanied by strong gusts.

The highest daytime temperature is expected to be between 22 and 27 degrees. By late evening, the air will cool down between 15 and 20 degrees.

As for the warning, the conditions in the southern part of the country are sufficient for the formation of thunderstorms in some places. At first, there is a better chance of thunderstorms in Southern Transdanubia, then in the afternoon in the southern and eastern parts of the Great Plain, mostly in the southeastern border region. In a thunderstorm, 20-30 mm of precipitation, typically smaller ice, and wind gusts of around 50-70 km/h can occur in a short time.

The lemon yellow alert is valid for Saturday afternoon and Sunday, for seven counties: Baranya, Bács-Kiskun, Békés, Csongrád-Csanád, Somogy, Tolna and Zala.
