I Liga: Quiet Santa Clara receives a motivated Maritime

Santa Clara, already with maintenance practically assured, receives today a motivated, but still afflicted, Marítimo, in the opening match of the 30th round of the 1st soccer league.

The Azoreans occupy the 10th place with 38 points, 11 more than Portimonense, the first team in the descent zone – Desportivo das Aves is already mathematically relegated – and they receive Marítimo, 12th with 31, from the 19:15.

The Madeirans arrive at this match still in a ‘dangerous’ position, with four points ahead of the Algarve, but motivated by the 2-0 home win against Benfica, which dictated the removal of Bruno Lage from the technical command of the national champions.

In the first round, the island duel played in Funchal ended with a 2-2 equality.

The 30th round, the sixth of the resumption after the suspension due to the pandemic of covid-19, will run until Monday, when Sporting visits Moreirense.

Previously, champions Benfica host Boavista on Saturday and leaders FC Porto host Belenenses SAD on Sunday.
