‘I have not learned the politics of enjoyment, I have learned the politics of sacrifice’

Never learned the politics of consumption, learned the politics of sacrifice. Therefore, the newly elected president claimed that Allah has put me in this chair. Sahabuddin is quiet. On the second day of the four-day visit, the President made this comment while interacting with journalists at Pabna Press Club at 11:30 am on Tuesday (May 16).

When the President arrived at the Pabna Press Club around 11:15 that day, he was welcomed by the leaders of the Press Club. Later, he interacted with the journalists in the club’s VIP auditorium.

President with former colleagues. Sahabuddin spoke about his memorable days at the press club. He said, I am a life member and 22nd member of Pabna Press Club. He is also the 22nd President of the country. He used to work as District Correspondent in Dainik Bangar Bani. I used to sit on the open roof of the press club and chat with colleagues.

At that time, the president also mentioned the days he spent in jail while doing student politics.

President of Press Club ABM Fazlur Rahman and moderated by Editor Saikat Afroz Asad spoke in the exchange meeting among others – Managing Director of Macharanga Television and former President of Press Club Anjan Chowdhury Pintu, Former President of Press Club Hero Freedom Fighter Rabiul Islam Ravi, Former President Educationist Principal Shivjit Nag.

At the beginning of the meeting, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of the deceased members of the press club and prayers were offered for the well-being of the nation including the President.

Earlier at 10 am the President inaugurated the Square Science and Life Plant at Pabna Bisik Industrial City. Citizens will attend the public reception at Edward College Grounds this afternoon.
