Asked, jokingly, if he is afraid that David Popovici will be upset that he broke his record, Vlad Stancu appreciated that there is no such problem, especially since this 400-meter free trial is not one of Popovici’s favorites.

“Very good, I had a lot of training, finally the fruits are visible and I am very happy. It’s an extraordinary time, I feel very, very good. I’m still two hundredths away from the scale for the Games at 400, a nail. Yes, let’s hope so. Now, in the summer, the senior Europeans, in Belgrade, and the junior Worlds, in Israel, I will not go to the seniors Worlds, I chose to prepare. I hope it will be a better year than 2022, God help!
