Hyundai Kona Elektrik completes its environmental sustainability tour

Important projects were implemented during the awareness-focused “Sustainable Tour” that brought Hyundai and the European Diver Association together.

The “Sustainable Tour”, which was implemented as a social responsibility project in partnership with Hyundai and the European Diver Association (DAN Europe), and draws attention to sea pollution, has been completed. 17 Europe starting on June 8, World Oceans Day and spanning nearly six months, including Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary Visiting Turkey, the team met with important names, including CEOs and founders of many companies, NGOs and start-ups working with sustainable products.


The duo, who traveled approximately 25,000 kilometers to advocate for more sustainable business practices and the environment, chose the Hyundai KONA Electric model, an environmentally friendly car, to fully fit their purpose. Operating with zero emissions throughout this tour, KONA Elektrik provided significant advantages to the DAN Europe team with its low consumption and long range.

Hyundai is already assertive in the electric car segment

Hyundai, which has left its mark in recent years with the environmentally friendly new generation cars it produces, goes beyond expanding its electric product range in this direction and continues to reach its goal of progress for humanity. Hyundai started a partnership called “Healthy Seas” with the ocean conservation organization that collects abandoned nets and other waste from the seas, thus collecting more than 78 tons of waste from the blue waters in 2021. Supporting DAN Europe to create sustainable products and to spread awareness of the social environment to the masses, Hyundai aims to cooperate both underwater and on land.


Hyundai will continue to maintain its attitude towards the environment and future generations and to support relevant organizations by not only producing cars. In addition, more than 75 percent of its models offered for sale in Europe have an electric version, and Hyundai plans to increase this rate to 100 percent after 2025.
