The future 100% electric compact SUV of the Korean brand should be presented next month for marketing during the year. In the meantime, Hyundai is teasing its new model by revealing three unseen photos.
See you in February to officially discover the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the first model in the Ioniq range dedicated to 100% electric vehicles.
Presented in September 2019 in the guise of the concept 45, the Ioniq 5 will be based on the new modular platform (E-GMP) dedicated to zero-emission vehicles and should therefore clearly distinguish itself from the current Ioniq sedan.
We are also talking about a power of 313 hp allowing 0 to 100 km / h in 5.2 s. Several batteries should be offered, ranging from 58 to 73 kWh, offering a range of 450 to 550 km.
A unique light signature
The photos reveal only a few details about this model. The vehicle should measure 4.65m (including 3.00m wheelbase), 1.89m wide and 1.60m high. However, we note that Hyundai has decided to integrate its new lighting system called “parametric pixels”. Four “U” -shaped daytime running lights at the front and four rounded rectangles at the rear will give the model an exclusive light signature.
The Ioniq 5 should also inaugurate a new so-called “flap” hood, which will reduce body space and therefore promote aerodynamics. However, not a single image of the interior has yet been presented. It will be the surprise.
