Updates: 23.02.2021 12:23

Powerful, spacious enough and especially with a long range and the ability to recharge propulsion batteries very quickly. Such is the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric car, whose appearance and technical parameters have just been introduced by the Korean carmaker.

The car measures 4635 millimeters in length and 1605 millimeters in height. The large wheelbase, which is exactly 3,000 millimeters, provides ample space for passengers in the cabin as well as a large luggage space. It has a volume of 531 liters in the basic arrangement of seats. Trivia or, for example, charging cables can also be stored under the front hood, where there is additional storage space with a volume of tens of liters.

The car will be offered in a variant with only the front or all-wheel drive. There will be two variants of traction batteries. The smaller one has a capacity of 58 Kwh, the larger one stores 72.6 kWh of electricity.

As a result, up to 480 kilometers will be traveled on a single charge (as measured in WLTP mode). The power of electric motors varies from 125 to 225 kWh, depending on the choice of battery size and wheel drive.

In all versions, the car is able to develop a maximum speed of 185 kilometers per hour.

The main advantage of the car is its ability to charge extremely quickly. With 350 kW racks, the traction battery can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. In just five minutes of standing with such a charger, you can get enough energy to cover another 100 kilometers.

The car also has the function of a stationary or mobile source of electricity for other appliances. Either bicycles or camping equipment with a power input of up to 3.6 kW can be recharged from either the socket located under the rear seats or the one on the outside of the body.

The car will go on sale in the first half of this year.
