The father Johnny Klüft was an all-svenskan soccer player in Östers IF and GIF Sundsvall and mother Inga-Lill Ahlm was a long jumper in the national team. It therefore became a natural path for Carolina to invest in sports.

– It all started when a teacher discovered that I was very good at sports. And when I got to try a little more, I got a taste for it. I didn’t know then that it would become such a big part of my life, Carolina told the program Superstars.

She was selected for the Swedish national team and jumped 6.09 as the best.

Today, Carolina has three children together with her husband Patrik. The children are called Laleh, Amieand Nova. They were born in 2014, 2017 and 2019. The family lives in a house in Järvsö, Hälsingland.

Patrik Klüft, 45, is a former professional pole vaulter. He jumped the best 5.85 and won a meritorious WC bronze in 2003. After his career, Patrik Klüft has worked as a hockey coach for clubs such as AIK, Djurgården and Vita Hästen. Today he is an entrepreneur in sustainable and physically active tourism with Järvsö as his base.

The couple met during a training camp in Lanzarote about 20 years ago. A trip arranged jointly by Carros club Växjö and Patrik’s club KA 2 in Karlskrona.
