Riau Police Chief Inspector General Mohammad Iqbal welcomed the idea promoted by the students of the Cipayung Plus group and immediately agreed to help provide five buses with a capacity of 40 passengers.

This bus will accommodate 200 prospective travelers. The Riau Police will also provide escort for the smooth journey of the group.

The release of the National Homecoming entourage will be carried out directly by Iqbal on Thursday (28/4) in front of the Police Headquarters.

Four units will be dispatched to West Sumatra and one unit to North Sumatra.

“Mr. Kapolda appreciates and fully supports this idea. He immediately assigned us to intensify preparations with the younger students for this National Homecoming activity,” said Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police Kombes Sunarto in a press release, Tuesday (26/4).

The chairman of the Indonesian Islamic Student Association (PMII) Riau Abdul Rouf expressed his gratitude to the Riau Police Chief who immediately responded to their ideas in an effort to help the people of going home for Lebaran 2022.

“We from the Cipayung Plus group, namely PMII, HMI, GMNI, GMKI, PMKRI, KAMMI, IMM, SEMMI, and HIMA PERSIS are very grateful to the Riau Police Chief Inspector General Moh Iqbal,” he explained.
