Huawei launched its first MateView computer monitors – coming to Finland as well

A moment ago, Huawei unveiled its new MateView and MateView GT monitors, which will also be available in stores in Finland. Of the innovations, the former is aimed primarily at productive work and the latter at gaming.

The MateView GT is a 21: 9 widescreen display with a curved (1500R) display panel that is 34 inches in diameter. The 3440 x 1440 pixel panel supports 165 Hz refresh rate with FreeSync compatibility, 350 cd / m2 peak brightness, HDR10 and DCI-P3 color space. The monitor is also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified and supports DC dimming.

The GT comes with a tripod-integrated soundbar speaker that supports stereo audio. The speaker has a touch panel with RGB lighting for volume control. The monitor’s connection range includes 3.5 mm connectors for headphones and a microphone, two HDMI 2.0 connectors, a Displayport 1.4 connector, a USB-C connector and a separate USB-C connector for charging-only use.

MateView, on the other hand, is a 28.2-inch 4K monitor for productive work that uses the 3: 2 aspect ratio (3840 x 2560) familiar from previous decades. The IPS panel supports 500 cd / m2 brightness, 10-bit color, 98 percent DCI-P3 color space, and 100 percent sRGB color space. According to the manufacturer, the display achieves color accuracy ΔE <1 in sRGB mode and ΔE <2 in DCI-P3 mode. The monitor is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.

The monitor connector range includes two USB-C connectors, two USB-A connectors, one HDMI connector, one Mini DisplayPort connector, and one 3.5 mm headphone connector. A monitor-connected mouse and keyboard can be used with monitor-connected devices without having to move controls from one device to another. The integrated stand offers height and tilt adjustment. The stand has integrated stereo speakers and two microphones.

The recommended price for the MateView GT in Finland is 599 euros with a soundbar speaker and 549 euros without a speaker. The recommended price for the MateView monitor is 699 euros. The new products will go on sale in September.
