Among other things, HP presented the Elite Folio convertible notebook at this year’s CES 2021 trade fair.
The HP Elite Folio has compact dimensions, an unconventional design and, in particular, more than 24 hours on a single charge. The touch screen also has a non-standard aspect ratio.
You turn it on in the morning, charge the next day. HP has already adopted the concept of hybrid laptops with extreme battery life. The new HP Elite Folio, which the company presented at CES, offers the latest version of the energy-saving processor from Qualcom, 5G connectivity and almost 25 hours of endurance on a single charge.
The new Elite Folio is basically a convertible device. In standard mode, it replaces the notebook, but after pulling the display together, it can be used as a multimedia device with a touchpad. The display can also be “folded” over the keyboard and the device can also be used as a tablet. Elite Folio has a 13.5-inch touch screen with a non-standard 3: 2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920 × 1280 pixels. Most laptops now use 16: 9 screens. Another interesting feature is the premium version of the chassis, which is covered on the outside with artificial leather.
Thanks to the flexible design and display mount, the notebook can also be turned into a tablet.
The hardware equipment includes the already mentioned energy-saving Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor from Qualcomm and a 4G and 5G module for mobile connection. The device will be sold in several variants, the highest of which has 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. There are two USB-C ports on the sides, one of which is also used for charging. People on the go will surely enjoy the endurance that HP declares up to 24.5 hours. Sales price and worldwide availability have not been announced yet.
