Instructions for building tenants: How to report neighborhood violence (PHOTO)
In co-operation with the government’s Gender Equality Coordination Body and the UN Development Program (UNDP), instructions have been set for residents in Belgrade, Nis and Novi Sad to report cases of domestic violence in the neighborhood.
Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and President Zorana Mihajlovic called on professional building managers in other cities to join the “For a Neighborhood Without Violence” campaign.
“We can all help make our environment, our neighborhood a safe place where violence is not tolerated by noticing and reporting violence and supporting women who are exposed,” the deputy prime minister said, as reported by her cabinet.
Building managers who want to join the action and point out instructions for reporting domestic violence in their neighborhood can get free copies by registering at the e-mail address [email protected]
The action is part of the project “Integrated Response to Violence against Women and Girls” implemented by the Government of Serbia in partnership with UN agencies (UNDP, UN Women, UNICEF and UNFPA) and with the financial support of the Swedish Government to create a social and institutional environment conducive to zero tolerance. and eradicating violence against women and girls in Serbia.
