How to alleviate computer vision syndrome

Many of us have seen how time spent in front of a computer can spoil our eyesight. It is also called computer vision syndrome, but, fortunately, with these interesting exercises, you can improve the condition.

With eye care – eye exercises, proper nutrition and some supplements, you can significantly improve your eyesight.

Computer vision syndrome

More than half of computer users experience blurred vision, eye strain, headaches, neck pain, fatigue, and eye fatigue. And, there are dry and irritated eyes and the problem of refocusing the gaze.

By working incorrectly at the computer, we destroy our eyesight day by day, reduce efficiency, work ability, and increase the risk of glaucoma.

Our ancestors had a “falcon’s eye”, a kind of hunter, but we are no longer hunters. We are now hunting in the online waters. Now we rarely look into the distance and our gaze is focused on the computer, on the TV. Most of us see less and less in the distance.

The problem is that when we work, we rarely take that break – we have to look away from the computer every 20 minutes, preferably looking into the distance. Also, low light, low office lighting, blinking of the screen, too many hours spent in front of the computer and less and less blinking of the eyes only worsen the situation from day to day.

This causes: headaches, blurred vision, dry, red and irritated eyes, difficulty focusing, poor distance vision, occasional double vision, poor color vision,… And we only increase diopters.

Here are some exercises that can help you

This exercise is a relaxation exercise. Rub your palms to warm them up a bit. Put them on your closed eyes (but do not touch the eyelids and eyelashes), gather your fingers and relax. You can do this while sitting or lying down. It is important to relax. Hold your hands like this for about 2 minutes and breathe lightly.

Focus near and far

This exercise improves eye flexibility. Place your thumb in front of you, about 15 cm in front of your nose. Focus your gaze on your thumb. Take a deep breath and exhale slowly. Then look at the object at least 3 meters away from you. Take another deep breath and exhale slowly. Repeat this 15 times.

Stand in a corner of the room and scan the objects in the room from left to right and vice versa. The goal of the exercise is to move your eyes lightly and relaxed. Do this exercise for 2 minutes.

Fill two containers with water. One should have hot water (but not too hot), and the other water with ice. Put a clean cloth or towel in each bowl. First, take a towel out of the hot water, squeeze it and put it on your eyes and hold it for 30 seconds. Then do it with a towel made of ice water. Change the towels and repeat the procedure for 2 minutes.

Rolling eyes

Sit still and close your eyes. Breathe lightly. Open your eyes, look up, then down. Repeat several times. Do the same exercise with your eyes facing left and right.

Make this stress and fatigue eye pad yourself.
