Honor, which exited Huawei, unveils its first smartphones for the global market – Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro and Honor 50 SE

Honor, who has left Huawi, has also got rid of US sanctions, and the Chinese manufacturer’s phones use a full-blooded Android operating system with Google services.

At the end of last year, we announced the end of the joint journey between Huawei and Honor when Huawei officially sold Honor. Now an independent phone manufacturer, Honor has released its first smartphones. The manufacturer’s latest collection consists of three devices – Honor 50, Honor 50 Pro and Honor 50 SE.

As previously expected, the US restrictions on Huawei do not apply to Honor, which has spun off from its former parent company, which means that the Honor 50 series uses Android with full Google services and some phones pulsate within Qualcomm’s system circuits.

At the top of the Honor 50 range are the Honor 50 and 50 Pro, which offer the same core features in two different size classes with certain differences. The Honor 50 Pro is powered by a 6.72-inch AMOLED panel with a slightly more special 1236 x 2676 resolution in Full HD +. In addition, the display supports 120 Hz refresh rate and 300 Hz touch detection. The Honor 50 Pro accommodates two front cameras in the top left corner hole – a 32-megapixel main front camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

The display of the base model Honor 50, on the other hand, is a notch smaller by 6.57 inches and at the same time the resolution has also dropped to the more traditional 1080 x 2340 level, but in other features it corresponds to its larger sibling. The front camera system has also been simplified, leaving only one 32-megapixel camera in the hole in the center of the top of the screen.

On the back, both models offer two large camera circles, one with a 108-megapixel main camera with a 1 / 1.52-inch sensor and the other with as many as three cameras – an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera and depth camera.

Performance on the Honor 50 and Honor 50 Pro is handled by Qualcomm’s fresh Snapdragon 778G system chip, paired with either 8 or 12 gigabytes of RAM. The Honor 50 Pro is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 100 watts of fast charging, while the base model Honor 50 has a larger 4300 mAh battery with a notch slower than 65 watts.

The Honor 50 SE offers the entire trio’s largest 6.78-inch display, which, like more expensive siblings, reaches a refresh rate of 120 Hz. A 16-megapixel front camera rests in a hole in the center of the top of the screen.

As the main rear camera, the Honor 50 SE offers a 108-megapixel sensor familiar from its more expensive siblings, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Instead of Qualcomm’s system circuitry, the Honor 50 SE pulsates with MediaTek’s Dimensity 900, paired with 8GB of RAM.
