It is fashionable on the outside, there are no painful shortcomings on the inside, and photography has a prominent role in the Honor 70, which of course also has Google and 5G.
Even though years have passed, many people still combine the names of Huawei and Honor, but the latter is already a separate company (how much is disputed by some, but that is not the topic of this article), so American restrictions do not apply to it either. This is good news, because you can have a complete GMS system on your mobile phones, there is no need to disable 5G, and the company can choose any SoC. In the summer, Honor came out with the Magic4 series, but in the fall it was the latest mid-range model, which was simply called the Honor 70.
Aimed at the center
Before introducing the device itself, it is worth mentioning the user interface running on Android 12, version 7.0 of which will arrive in the fall. Honor 70 still has version 6.1, but MagicOS 7.0 will introduce many important new features. Countless technological innovations could be listed here, but the most important thing is to create a unified user experience across devices.
In a more understandable way, this means that your mobile phone, smart watch, tablet and Windows PC work together: for example, the tablet can be an extended display, and you can transfer your recent pictures to the PC with a mouse movement from the phone (yes, the cursor can migrate to the mobile phone). re.
But let’s look at the Honor 70! It is no coincidence if you feel that this phone has already come across you on the Internet: the mobile phone was presented in China a long time ago, but in Europe it had to wait until September 2, so the 70 model made its debut at the IFA exhibition.
The smartphone sent into battle as a midfielder is graceful and thin, and the 6.67″ display is an ideal size. Here, of course, it is OLED with a 120 Hz refresh rate, with waterfall-like rounding on both sides. Thanks to this, the Honor feels especially thin when held in the hand. 70.
A Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chip works inside, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of storage space. This is quite a good combination, you don’t have to worry about stuttering or slowing down, but it’s not a modern SoC, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 would have been a better choice.
Unfortunately, the Honor 70 has not received an IP rating, and it is not capable of wireless charging, but you can charge 66 W with a cable, which is very fast and convenient, for which
you also get the charger in the box!
You can also check many important points: there is a fast and reliable fingerprint reader under the display, a 4800 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 6, AptX HD, many colors, NFC, and even Android 12. The manufacturer also focused on the photographic capabilities, so among the sensors located in the two circles, the main camera uses a 54 MP brand new Sony IMX800 sensor, the ultra-wide 50 MP or a 2 MP depth sensor and the selfie camera: 32 MP. Unfortunately, there is no optical image stabilization, but 4K recording, EIS and HDR are not missing.
The Honor 70 will be available on store shelves here for HUF 239,000 (the 256 GB model costs HUF 259,000), and if you buy early, you can also get a pair of Honor Earbuds 2 Lite headphones as a gift. If you still can’t decide, that’s no problem, you will soon be able to read our detailed test of Honor’s newest phone.
