At the IFA exhibition in Berlin, which we personally attended, Honor presented its new products. And there is really something to look forward to. The latest HONOR 70 attacks the middle class, it comes with an attractive design, a nice display, an interesting camera and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset.
HONOR 70: The basis is a high-quality display
The front side is dominated by a very nice display with decent parameters, which will be one of the biggest attractions. On the diagonal of 6.67 inches, the resolution spreads 2400 x 1080 pixels. It is stretched nicely to the edges, the frames are minimal. It is gently curved at the sides, which definitely adds to the attractiveness. However, the cornering might bother some people, but fortunately it is not extreme in any way. It is an OLED panel with excellent colors and especially with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The chipset takes care of the performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G made with 6 nm production technology. This is practically the best that the middle class has to offer. It can boast of a very decent performance, it has no problems with overheating and it also ensures a good endurance. When it comes to endurance, the HONOR 70 has a battery with a capacity 4800 mAh and 66 W cable charging. The 66 W charger is located directly in the package.
Interesting parameters are also available here. That is, if we consider the absence of a telephoto lens and the presence of an unnecessary two-megapixel depth sensor. The main star is 1/1.49″ Sony IMX800 sensor with a resolution of 54 megapixels, but without optical image stabilization. It is supplemented by Fr ultra-wide-angle lens with a high resolution of 50 MP and a viewing angle of 122 degrees.
A feature called Solo Cut is definitely worth mentioning. It allows users to record two videos at the same time, with one recording the subject selected in the viewport and the other capturing the entire group.

The mid-range of smartphones is now very strong and so is the competition. You can get a new one for up to 500 euros Google Pixel 6a with a more powerful processor, longer software support and a better camera. However, only with a 60 Hz display and slow charging.
Nothing Phone (1) is also worth mentioning, which mainly relies on an attractive design and almost pure Android. We can also mention Samsung Galaxy A53 also with a nice display, but a lower quality construction and especially a weaker processor.
In addition to the new smartphone, HONOR also presented its new MagicOS 7.0 superstructure. It comes with an improved user interface, but also new functions within the HONOR ecosystem. For example, it will enable you to control a HONOR brand laptop, smartphone and tablet via a single keyboard and mouse. Thanks to this, users can very easily move files between devices or write on a smartphone and tablet using a laptop keyboard. The MagicOS 7.0 extension will arrive on the first smartphones in the last quarter of this year.
Phone Link even outside of China
HONOR also expanded its partnership with Microsoft. This brings Phone Link to users around the world. Until now, it was only available in China. The service allows you to connect selected HONOR smartphones to Windows computers and display notifications on them, make and receive calls or use mobile applications in the Windows system. The first smartphone that Phone Link supports is the Honor Magic4 Pro. It will soon be available on the new HONOR 70.
We thank HONOR for the opportunity to participate in IFA in Berlin.
