HNŽ Prime Minister Nevenko Herceg employed his son in the EP, and Aunt Čović employed another family member

MOSTAR – Dragan Čović triumphantly announced renewals in several public companies in which HDZ selects personnel, referring to the removal of directors, but they were refreshed with new jobs and families of many HDZ members.

Still the first in the HNŽ, outgoing Prime Minister Nevenko Herceg hired his son Antonio at Elektroprivred HZHB in the last competition, according to readers who applied but were not accepted.

Herceg’s son was hired on March 20 of this year by the decision of the company’s management to hire a worker for an indefinite period of time. On his departure, the Prime Minister did not only take care of his own son, but also his brother’s son, Šimun Herceg, who refreshed his work and will be the Assistant Minister of Justice in HNŽ.

He was among the first to give financial aid to young scientists at HNŽ, which we wrote about earlier, and Šimun Herceg was also one of the eight advisors of Lidija Bradara, which CIN wrote about.

Čović’s like in the story

Dragan Čović, who has a large number of family members in Elektroprivreda, sisters on his side, has now helped his wife’s relatives, and the daughter of his brother-in-law Ivica Prskal Petek also found a job in Elektroprivreda, hercegovina.info learns.

Petek is Čović’s brother-in-law, that is, the brother of his wife Bernardica, who is over 60 years old. He is also an EP employee, no less than a distribution director, and a member of the Board of Directors. He was a rolling stock officer, manager of OP Jug, and then director of electricity supply, which he remains, despite the fact that he is old and that it is time for rejuvenation.

As a reminder, the FBiH Government appointed Draga Baga as acting general director, Robert Leska as acting executive director for legal affairs, Anabela Brekalo as acting executive director for economic affairs, Dražen Zelenika as acting executive director for electricity production, Ilija Bakalar as acting executive director for electricity distribution and Čović’s brother-in-law Ivica Prskal for acting executive director for electricity supply.

Among Čović’s relatives, his sister’s son Branislav Stojkić, brother-in-law’s wife and brother-in-law Mario Krezić also work at Elektroprivreda. Board member Robert Lesko is Covic’s cousin.

Čović’s son-in-law Mario Krezić came to Elektroprivreda as an intern in 2015, to the position of clerk in the development unit. After that, he is assigned to the position of professional associate.

He should have been appointed as the director of development in the EP at the FBiH Government, but after our article that this was the goal of the rejuvenation of the EP, only the director of development was not appointed. It is expected that this will happen after the uproar over the “rejuvenation” campaign subsides.

It is also convenient to mention that the current CEO of Elektroprivreda Drago Bago is the godfather of Čović’s son-in-law Marija Krezić

Sons of the chief

The sons of some Herzegovinian mayors also found financial refuge in the EP, among them the son of Širokobrije mayor Mira Kraljević.

Elektroprivreda of the Croatian Community of Herceg Bosna announced a call for 88 workers in February this year. It said that workers are wanted in Mostar, Prozor-Rama, Svitava, Grude, Široki Brijeg, Novi Travnik, Livno, Usora, Čapljina, Stolac, Ravno, Posušje, Tomislavgrad, Glamoč, Nova Bilaja, Kreševo, Žepč, Vitez, that cashiers, accounting and billing clerks, fitters and engineers needed.

It did not say that workers were wanted at the HDZ headquarters in Mostar, where the list for employment at Elektroprivreda was created.

That company employed 2,283 workers at the end of 2022, and symptomatically, right before the dismissal of the director and management, the HDZ media in Mostar massively reported that it was operating with a loss of 81 million marks.

From this, one could already smell that Marinko Gilja had fallen out of favor with the president of the HDZ, and that something strange was happening. Collective resignations soon followed.

On April 11, Marinko Gilja and the entire administration signed their resignations. We are waiting for answers from the new management about the hiring of new workers, and Gilja, apart from announcing the minuses, is silent about everything.

Zoran Tomić’s wife, SKB director Ante Kvesić’s good friend, and many other friends and relatives of local HDZ members still work at Elektroprivreda. There are also rajas from alleged opposition parties, which the media have already written about.
