Here are the perfect branches for the pentathlon in midsummer

Midsummer is approaching by leaps and bounds and almost as traditional as the herring and flower wreath is the pentathlon. But coming up with good, ingenious branches is not easy.

Here are Nyheter24’s best tips.

The best branches for a fun pentathlon

Branch 1: “A stressful Monday morning”

You will need: A slightly larger bag filled with about 6-8 items of clothing, one glass per person and any beverage.

When the time starts, the contestant puts on all the clothes, runs to his glass (with the bag in his hand) and drinks it up. The person then runs back to the starting point, takes off the clothes and puts them back in the bag. Only when all garments are back in their place of origin can the next person in the team start.

Shortest time wins!

Tip: Choose clothing that can be easily put on on top of what you are already wearing, such as jackets, airy pants and hoodies.

Branch 2: “Attack ball”

You will need: A pair of nylon tights per team, two tennis balls per team, three water-filled pet bottles (preferably in different sizes).

The team puts a tennis ball in each foot of the tights. First you tie the tights around the waist so that the balls hang down to the ground. Without helping with the hands, you should then succeed in overturning the three bottles by swinging the tights back and forth.

When you have overturned all the bottles, the turn goes to the remaining team members. Shortest time wins!

Branch 3: “Karategubben”

You will need: An optional item (for example a pepper mill), a judge / karate man, a box to store the item in.

Yes, the die-hard “Best in test” banner has probably already figured out that this is one of the disciplines that participants were faced with in the 2021. The rules are easy: The karate guy (who of course does not have to be dressed as the man in the program) on yes / no questions – and always lies.

In the shortest possible time, the competing teams must figure out which object is hidden in the box.

Branch 4: “Lingonberry Week”

You will need: A large pet bottle filled with one decimeter of water, a tampon of the largest size per person, a longer string per person.

All competitors tie the tampon string together with the longer string. Then tie the string around the waist so that the tampon hangs at knee height. At the specified time, one person at a time should kneel and succeed in puncturing the tampon in the mouth of the bottle.

Immerse the tampon in the water so that it swells, and blocks the mouth of the bottle from the inside. Then run with the bottle (which will be carried by the swollen tampon) dangling between the legs to a mark and back. When person one is back, the next man in the team continues.

Shortest time wins!

Branch 5: “A whimsical filling”

You will need: Three rock rings

Two team members stand opposite each other at a distance of 4-5 meters. At the specified time, both two ten laps “Norwegian fill” run around any object. Person one must then manage to throw three rock rings over person two – whose task is to try to stand still.

Shortest time wins!
